About Master Sigmundr Haakonarson...
Master Sigmundr Haakonarson (OL) is a Viking who left Norway due to
philosophical disagreements with King Haraldr Harfagri over the subject
of taxes, and, together with his wife Ságadís Duncansdaughter, has taken
up land in Ireland, where he raises horses and works in his smithy.
He is a noted skald and teller of tales. He is squired to the noble
and virtuous knight Sir Brendan the Tired of Nordmark.

Stephan Grundy is a professional writer and scholar of Old Norse religion.
His novels to date are 'Rhinegold', 'Attila's Treasure', 'Gilgamesh',
and the 'Falcon Dreams' trilogy (German language only at present). He
also sells Celtic jewelry through Jewelry
Ireland. He lives in Ireland with his wife Melodi, his partner John,
and a number of Icelandic horses, Norwegian Elkhounds, and Norwegian
Forest Cats.
