Bringing in the May 28-30th May 2010 Good folk of Drachenwald, Spring is in full bloom and summer is on the way. The Shire of Eplaheimr invites all noble gentles to join us in our celebration of the season of growth and fertility associated with May. Special competitions and contests inspired by the festival of Bealtaine will be held throughout the event, culminating in the crowning of the King or Queen of May. Dancing around the Maypole and a visit by Jack O’ the Green are also expected.
Site: Kilmurry House, Shinrone, Co. Offaly, Ireland. There is no street address. The site opens at 9.00pm on Friday night and closes at 3.00pm on Sunday. Crash space is limited, please contact the Reservations Steward for information. There is also a limited amount of room for anyone who wished to camp, again please contact the Reservations Steward. Cost: This event is free but we do ask that those attending leave a donation to help cover our costs, heating, lighting, cooking etc. Food: The lunch and feast are potluck so if those attending could please bring a dish to feed 5-6 people it will provide a variety for all.
