Coronet Tourney
Oyez, Oyez, Be it known to all that the Shire of Eplaheimr will host the 2nd Insulae Draconis Coronet Tourney on the 20th-22nd August, 2010
This great event will determine the successors to the rulers of Insulae Draconis, Their Highnesses William and AEringunnr.

CONGRATULATIONS
The Shire sends its congratulations to the College of King's Lake on running it's first day event, Ostara Revel. A very enjoyable day of fencing, heavy, A&S and dancing was had. The event was honoured by the presence of His Highness, Prince William.
VIVANT KING'S LAKE
VIVANT!!!
At Coronet Tourney this past weekend, Insulae Draconis became a full Principality as our new Prince and Princess were crowned.
A glorious tourney was held, where 14 brave warriors fought for the honour of their consort and the crown of ID.
The Shire of Eplaheimr was very well represented by four couples
Master Sigmundr fighting for Baroness Sagadis
Baron Etienne fighting for Lady Adel
Master Cernac of the Shire of Dun in Mara fighting for Lady Susannah
M'Lady Hilkka fighting for Lord Aylwin
All combatants fought with courage, honour and chivalry.

CONGRATULATIONS
The Shire of Eplaheimr salutes Their Royal Majesties, ThorvaldR and Fiona, new King and Queen of Drachenwald, crowned this past Saturday, 9th January in the Shire of Flintheath.

BLOOD AND INK
This past weekend (1-3rd January 2010) saw our first event of the New Year. Around 17 gentles attended, with the main activities being Heavy Activities run by the Viceroy, His Grace, Duke Alaric and fencing practice.
Many thanks to the Their Excellencies, the Viceroy and Vicereine for attending.
WINTER FEAST
Our final shire event of 2009 took place on the weekend of the 20th-22nd November. Despite a small attendance, a good time was had by all. The weekend saw much fencing activity and period gaming
TUDOR FEAST
The College of King's Lake held it's first event at the College on the evening of Wednesday 18th November. A beautiful repast of period foods was provided as was a selection of period games. Congratulations to King's Lake on an extremely successful first event. VIVAT .
HUNTERS FEAST & ROYAL AWARDS
Eplaheimr's Hunter's Feast was held on Saturday last. We were graced by the presence of Her Royal Majesty, Judith, Queen of Drachenwald.
Competitions were held in archery and fencing as were classes on period dance and storytelling/bardic arts.
During Court, Her Majesty bestowed three awards on members of Eplaheimr and King's Lake during Her Court
Marina Claudia Alessandra de Grado and Fianna Rua were awarded the right to bear Arms.
Lady Susannah of York was made a Companion of the Orden des Lindquistringes

Mistress Rowan Brithwallt, Kingdom Bard of the Outlands delivered a formal message and gift from Their Majesties, Maelgwn and Sabine, King and Queen of the Outlands to Her Majesty Queen Judith and received a message to convey back.

FEAST OF GRAPES
22 people attended Eplaheimr's Feast of Grapes from the 25th-27th September. Numerous outdoor activities took place, thanks to kind weather and willing participants. Many thanks to all those who helped clean up afterwards!

NEW VICEROY AND VICEREINE
The Shire of Eplaheimr sends its heartiest congratulations to their Excellencies, the new Viceroy and Vicereine of Insulae Draconis,

RAGLAN EXPEDITION
Eplaheimr and King's Lake mounted a very successful expedition to the Great Raglan Fair on the 20-24th of August. In all, 15 shire members travelled, in a convoy of 4 vehicles. A spectacular event was held. Many thanks to the Shire of Mynydd Gwyn for all their efforts!
CHAMPIONS OF LOUGH DEVNAREE VI
Eplaheimr held Champions of Lough Devnaree VI at Clara House, Clara, Co. Offaly on the weekend of the 7-9 August. Many thanks to all who attended.

PRINCIPALITY OF INSULAE DRACONIS
It was announced this weekend (19th July), at Battle of Brothers, that Insulae Draconis's submission to become a full Principality has been approved by the SCA Board of Directors. The first Coronet Tourney, where the first Prince and Princess of Insulae Draconis will be decided will take place in February 2010
REGULAR PRACTICES CHANGES
As of the last Shire meeting, our Fencing and Heavy Practice times have changed. Both activities will now run at the same times

RAGLAN EXPEDITION
At the Feast of Flowers event it was announced that the Shire will mount an expedition to the great Fair Raglan at Raglan Castle in Wales in August. This is a magnificent event run by the fair Shire of Mynydd Gywn. If you are interested in this event, please contact the Seneschal
SUMMER FEAST
Eplaheimr held its Summer Feast from the 3rd-5th of July. With 26 attending and unseasonably good weather, a good time was had by all
HERALDIC FEAST
The weekend of the 13-15 June saw the Heraldic Feast event held in Eplaheimr. We were graced by the presence of Their Excellencies, the Viceroy and Vicereine of Insulae Draconis and held our largest event to date, with 47 people.
Many varied activities took place throughout the event, including two Prize playings for entry to the Drachenwald Academy of Defence and several authorisations.

FEAST OF GREENERY
The weekend of the 15th-17th May saw Eplaheimr's Feast of Greenery. Despite inclement weather and unforseen cancellations, a very relaxed and fun event was held. Many thanks to all who attended.

Last weekend saw Eplaheimr's Feast of Flowers event, with around 40 attendees. We were graced by the presence of several visitors from other Shires, including Baron Stefan and Lady Evelynne, from the Barony of Storvik, Kingdom of Atlantia.
