We’re currently working towards doing SCA equestrian activities in Eplaheimr. Before we can do official SCA equestrian competitions we have to have a qualified SCA approved marshal to act as safety officer and oversee the activities.

  Once we have that we’ll be able to do period knightly training such as lancing at rings, striking the Quintain (a rotating shield that you’ve probably seen in the movies), and various sword drills from horseback.

  In the long run we should even be able to take part in the form of Jousting practiced in the SCA.
